What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworker/laborer position at Cary Livestock?
Workers will perform a variety of duties related to the production of cattle. Duties include herding and moving cattle to pastures, pens, or working facilities as directed; observing cattle to detect illness, injury, or signs of disease; and feeding and watering livestock, including mixing feed and additives as needed. Workers will clean and disinfect pens, corrals, and water troughs; repair and maintain fencing, corrals, gates, and water systems; and operate farm equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and utility vehicles to move feed, brush-hog pastures, or haul hay. Additional duties include cutting, raking, baling, and stacking hay; transporting and storing hay for feeding; and performing general ranch maintenance such as mowing, weedeating, and grounds upkeep around housing and work areas. Workers will also maintain ranch equipment and vehicles through regular servicing and minor repairs and are expected to follow all safety and animal-handling procedures.
