Position Overview
Carwile Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead field crews on commercial and industrial projects. This role is responsible for supervising daily jobsite activities, coordinating with project managers and other trades, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Candidates may have a background in plumbing, sheet metal, pipefitting/welding, or HVAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead field crews on mechanical construction projects
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installation
- Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and compliance with safety policies
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job
- Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members
- Track productivity and provide progress updates to project management
Qualifications
- Experience in one or more mechanical trades: plumbing, sheet metal, pipefitting/welding, or HVAC
- Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a construction environment
- Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity on active jobsites
