Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex engine, transmission, and differential repairs or replacements.
- Lead advanced diagnostic work using OEM software (Cummins, Volvo, CAT, etc.).
- Troubleshoot after-treatment and electrical control systems.
- Oversee DOT compliance inspections and certify completed repairs.
- Perform major air system, hydraulic, and electronic brake system repairs.
- Conduct road tests, calibrations, and post-repair verifications.
- Maintain tool inventory, parts organization, and shop cleanliness.
- Train and mentor Tech I–II technicians.
- Provide input on truck maintenance scheduling, reliability, and cost trends.
- Support field service repairs and emergency roadside calls.
- Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy in MC/E360.
- Collaborate with Equipment Services & Fabrication Manager on repair cost control and downtime reduction.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school diploma in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair and diagnostics.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required; CDL - A preferred.
- Advanced understanding of diesel engines, after-treatment, and diagnostics.
- OEM-level software proficiency (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Deere, Volvo, etc.). certifications strongly preferred.
- Inspectors License.

- Safety-oriented mindset
- Capable of mentoring others and managing complex work with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication, and teamwork skills.
- Work performed in shop environments and on field job sites in various weather conditions.
- Requires lifting heavy parts (up to 75 lbs) and work around active jobsites.
- May include overtime, weekend, and on-call hours depending on business needs.
Pay range: $35 - 40/hr
