This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and hospitality within a fun and fast-paced setting. We have two positions available, morning shift (12pm-5pm) and night shift (5pm-11pm).

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their ice cream orders, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
• Prepare a variety of ice cream treats, including scoops, sundaes, cones, and specialty desserts, following company standards for quality and presentation
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Upsell additional toppings or products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitizing equipment, counters, and dining areas to uphold food safety standards
• Manage cash register operations by processing cash and card payments securely while handling cash handling responsibilities responsibly
• Restock supplies regularly to ensure product availability during busy hours and assist with food preparation tasks as needed
• Decorate and prepare cake orders
• Have the desire to learn how to make flying saucers, cakes, and flavors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and transactions
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude; able to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks associated with food preparation and cleaning
• Must have the ability to pick up skills quickly such as decorating cakes and flying saucers.
