Field Operator

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Permanganate Shift Supervisors, the Field Operator will:

• Safely and effectively operates and controls equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit in normal and emergency situations.
• Maintains and monitors process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes.
• Maintains and improves safety in the unit and is responsible for housekeeping in operating areas.
• Receives and processes raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level
• Supports and adheres to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® and applicable regulatory requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety and security of our employees, customers, suppliers, and our community.
• Performs additional work as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
  
  

The Qualifications

• The right candidate will be a safety-focused, motivated individual who can work both independently and as a team. Your qualifications ideally include:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation
• Strong commitment to safety
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Chemical manufacturing or laboratory experience or course work in chemistry, chemical engineering or the natural sciences a plus
