Job Summary |
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following functional areas: talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll, compensation, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, benefits, talent development and the general administrative function and activities of the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Performs the sourcing, recruiting, and selection of candidates for all exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Conducts new hire orientation and manages onboarding activities.
- Processes information into the payroll system for bi-weekly payroll.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits and other deductions.
- Issues, or reissues physical or replacement checks for payroll.
- Creates monthly newsletter with HR initiatives.
- Performs benefit administration to include but not limited to change reporting, open enrollment and new hire enrollment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Assists with FMLA documentation.
- Recommends compensation guidelines to ensure departmental equity among peers.
- Completes salary survey requests.
- Coordinates training programs designed to enhance job performance, career development and corporate policy compliance.
- Maintain OSHA compliance through training and research.
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and processes.
- Assists in planning employee appreciation activities and company holiday events.
- Promotes health and wellness initiatives.
- Monitors the workplace to assess the culture and create plans to continually improve the environment and focus on employee retention and engagement.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintains company organizational charts and employee directory.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compiles reports as needed.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
