Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential properties following schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) equipment to optimize performance.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or modify existing systems as needed.
- Collaborate with property owners and contractors to coordinate installation schedules and technical requirements.
- Diagnose issues related to refrigeration, plumbing, or mechanical components and execute effective repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics interpretation and equipment repair logs.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems or related mechanical fields.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration or commercial refrigeration units.
- Experience working in field service environments with a focus on air conditioning and boiler systems.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and electrical components relevant to HVAC installation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
drivers preferred. - Competence in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and performing equipment repair or welding tasks.
