What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Broker-in-Training position at Carto Commercial?
Overview
You want to build something of your own but want a runway and map.
At Carto Commercial, we’re looking for an ambitious agent or team leader ready to learn what it truly takes to start, scale, and lead a brokerage. This role is designed for entrepreneurial minds who crave autonomy, but also want to learn inside a system that actually works (and what has not worked.)
You’ll train around a team with first hand experience as a Principal Broker, Residential Agent, Developer, Contractor, and Marketing Specialist who believes in multiplication, not maintenance. The goal is simple: to equip you with the tools, processes, and playbook to one day lead your own market, office, or firm.
What You’ll Learn
- How to structure and scale a brokerage - from licensing and compliance to recruiting and revenue
- How to build a magnetic brand that attracts top producers and referral business
- How to balance leadership, operations, and deal flow while maintaining a great culture and clear vision
- How to use top industry tech and local market intelligence to make smart, fast decisions
- How to translate years of transaction experience into enterprise ownership
Who You Are
- A licensed agent or associate broker in Kentucky with 3 years of deal experience
- Entrepreneurial to your core—you’ve probably already thought about launching your own shop
- Hungry to learn the legal, operational, and leadership side of running a firm
- Drawn to structure, storytelling, and the craftsmanship of doing things right
- Someone who leads with integrity and wants their name to stand for excellence in the industry
