Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing walls or structures to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Execute residential painting projects with precision, including wall coatings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
• Perform commercial painting tasks on various surfaces like stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and industrial coatings.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications for renovation or remodeling jobs.
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion.
• Handle specialized tasks such as welding, plastering, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and basic math calculations for measurements.
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper equipment and following protocols during construction painting or site maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters and maintenance person professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
• Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for accountability and future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of residential and commercial painting techniques.
• Familiarity with construction site operations including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and renovation processes.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of surface preparation methods like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and fixture installation.
• Ability to perform demolition or remodeling tasks along with maintenance duties on existing structures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; experience with construction estimating is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship in all aspects of painting and finishing work.
• Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work efficiently in diverse environments.
