JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Director.
DEFINITION OF POSITION
- A Registered Cardiac Sonographer who is responsible for performing echocardiograms, transthoracic echos and stress tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
  - Demonstrates competence as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  - Registered as RDCS or RCS
  - Must strive to continue the educational process to maintain current practices
  - Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
  - Good verbal/written skills
- Working Conditions:
  - Generally comfortable surroundings.
  - Extensive walking and standing.
  - Variable work hours expected (4-12 shifts).
  - Exposure to infectious diseases.
  - Exposure to radiation.
  - Moderate noise.
  - Exposure to air borne particles.
  - Exposure to caustic chemicals.
  - Risk of electrical shock.
