We are assisting our client in identifying a top performing candidate for the following role :
The Director of Accounting will oversee general ledger accounting, operational accounting , cash and treasury and tax, while maintaining and supporting a timely month-end close.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
· Ensure compliance with US GAAP .
· Establish reconciliation standards and monitor completion against close deadlines.
· Maintain the general ledger · Lead and develop the accounting team, including general ledger, payroll, and accounts payable staff.
· Monitor vendor relationships, payment terms, and aging reports, and resolve outstanding items.
· Oversee daily cash accounting activities, and review and approve bank reconciliations.
· Partner with Treasury on cash forecasting and liquidity reporting.
Experience required
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
· 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
· 5 years of supervisory experience
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
· Experience leading month-end close.
· Experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, and cash accounting.
· Experience implementing accounting process improvements and automation.
· Experience with ERP systems
· CPA
Public accounting experience strongly preferred
$150-$165K plus bonus and equity
Salary : $150,000 - $165,000
