Job Description: Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst
Department: Accounting Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Accounting Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical finance professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst. This role combines accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support accurate results, business planning, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to turn financial data into meaningful insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances.
- Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Support cash management, fixed assets, and other accounting functions as needed.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and operational trends.
- Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
- Partner with department leaders to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics.
- Create and enhance Power BI reporting to provide actionable business insights.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and process enhancements.
- Support ERP system improvements and cross-functional projects.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-7 years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, dashboard development, and data visualization preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is an office position within our crossdock facility. You will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements set for entering the dock area. Such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings.
