Job Description

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clinical Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Hospice (or Governing Body) to direct the total management of the branch office and staff assigned; responsible for overall coordination, quality and efficiency of administration of hospice services. Establishes, standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1. Bachelor's Degree, preferably with four (4) years Home health and/or Hospice experience at Executive Level for eighteen (18) consecutive months full time within the last three years or at Management Level for thirty (30) consecutive months full time within the last four (4) years); or
• 2. Masters degree and (3) years experience in Home Health and/or Hospice preferably with (1) year full time Hospice experience at Executive Level or (2) years Hospice experience at the Management Level within the last four years;
• 2. Certified Home/Hospice Care Executive (CHCE) credentials from NAHC
• 5. Complies with accepted professional standards of practice.
• 1. Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• 2. Proven ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community.
• 3. Sound workable knowledge base of clinical management.
• 4. Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health. Has presented a pre- employment health clearance including a negative TB skin test and/or CXR and other tests as required by the Agency policy (i.e. negative drug screen).
• 5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization's requirements and is in good working order.
• 6. Has satisfactory references from current employer and/or professional peers.
• 7. Is self directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
