What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher- 2026-2027 School Year position at Carter Cty KY?
This is for a Substitute Teaching Position with Carter County Schools for the 2026-2027 school year. You will not be guaranteed any amount of work days and will be called on an as needed basis.
You must attend a substitute meeting before being added to the substitute list. The meeting has not been scheduled.
An email will be sent to all applicants after the deadline with date and time.
New Substitutes will do all necessary paperwork at the meeting. You are required to have a physical exam, criminal background and Central Registy check before starting to work. Information on these documents will be given at the meeting.
EDUCATIONAL PREPARATIONS:
You must have Kentucky Teaching Certification or Five-Year Teaching Certificate to be Certified Substitute;
OR An Official College Transcript with at least 64 college credit hours from an accredited instution. State Department of Education requires that the transcript must have no less than a 2.5 GPA to be considered an Emergency Substitute.
