PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the direction of the Manager, Facilities (Manager), the Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 (Technician) will be under general supervision. This position must be able to perform work of a fairly routine nature, requiring a reasonable amount of judgment in performing the daily preventative maintenance, upkeep, and repair of Carter BloodCare’s properties and equipment. The Technician must have the ability to handle minor documentation and paperwork regarding facility maintenance records or work orders.
A valid Texas driver’s license is required, as well as an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Carter BloodCare Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guide).
Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
Qualifications:EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one years’ experience in facility maintenance
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds

Knowledge of the use of industry-related tools and equipment

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge

Basic sheetrock repair and painting; minor carpentry, a plus

Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. Defensive Driving Course must be completed within 90 days of employment
