Cartel NY - Offline Producer

Location: NYC (in-person)
Overall: Cartel NY is looking for an experienced offline edit producer who loves creative problem solving. You’re a great fit if:
- You’ve produced for 5 years in advertising in a traditional offline edit shop, and understand the role Offline plays between creative, production, and finishing. You’re detail-oriented, organized, and an effective communicator. Commercial experience is a must.
- You have a grasp of Non-Linear Editing softwares and workflows. You are capable of guiding your team—including editors, assistants, graphics artists, and junior producers—through both routine and highly complex projects. You’re no stranger when communicating with online vendors - like our internal finishing partner, Transformer.
- You’re very familiar with bidding software, and a wiz at tracking costs & time against production budgets (ActualizeIt is a plus). You keep organized job folders and stay on top of paperwork. Slack, Google Suite (GMail, Docs, Sheets, etc) are your frequent tools.
- You advocate on behalf of your editors while making your clients feel very well taken care of. As well as thinking ahead for your team, schedule and organization of the project.
- You love collaborating with agencies, clients, and production companies to help bring an idea to life with editors, and embrace that no two days are ever the same.
- Internally, you collaborate with the Managing Director, Executive Producers, Heads of Productions, and support staff to ensure clients and projects get the resources and care they require. You’re constantly thinking about our clients’ experience as well as the vibe of the office.
