Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION: The Utility Assembler Level I performs a wide
variety of basic tasks in their home cost-center. They are also required
to perform basic tasks in other cost centers as needed to support
business demands. Tasks include, but are not limited to: folding,
assembling and packing various components into boxes or other
containers, forming and packing cartons or product trays, assembling and
packing of molded components, inspecting and collating games or puzzles.
Level I Assemblers should be able to identify defective components or
product. Position requires employees to perform limited material
handling duties as needed. Assemblers must maintain productivity, safety
and quality standards. They may be required to train other employees.
They must keep a clean, organized and safe work area. Assemblers may
perform other appropriate work within the plant. Progression: This is an
introductory level intended for employees with no prior manufacturing
experience. Level I Assemblers will learn and perform Level 2 tasks as
part of their progression to the next level. Supports and participates
in Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs
And/or Other Operational Strategies. Injection Molding Experience In a
manufacturing facility. Experience following work instructions, process
documentation and procedures to ensure safe operating of all equipment
while producing high quality work. The ability to troubleshoot the
current molding process using scientific molding principles and resolve
issues related to production quality. Experience with adjusting robot
programs to ensure proper adjustment of positions, speeds and timers.
The ability to troubleshoot auxiliary equipment such as blenders, mold
and water temperature controllers, hot stampers, welders, baggers and
stakers. A team-driven attitude to work together and support department
initiatives such as 5S and Total Productive Maintenance Systems (TPM)
The ability to complete production paperwork, which includes inventory
accuracy Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and
manufacturing space. This position requires: Standing or sitting for an
8-hour shift. Repetitive grasping, pinching, pushing and pulling with
arms hands, occasionally simultaneously, with and without mechanical
assisted devices. Frequent transfer of objects and materials weighing up
to 25 lbs. Reaching above shoulder height to work, bending and stooping
occasionally to work at different heights. Safely mounting, dismounting
and operating mobile equipment. Moving from one area to another in the
department around equipment, climb stairs, platforms and ladders.
