What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at CarsonLynch Professional Search?
A privately-held Manufacturing organization here in the Cincinnati Area is looking to add a Controller to their team. This is a part of a succession planning effort and this new hire will become one of the top decision makers within the organization in a short amount of time!

Key Responsibilities:
- You will report directly into the CEO and you will manage a small team of direct reports that focus on mostly operational accounting tasks.
- This role will manage all things A&F related - including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
- You will also oversee some of the HR function - including benefit negotiations, and more.
- Ideally this new hire will be someone that wants to build relationships with employees at all levels and in all capacities; it's a firm belief by the leadership that the more each individual knows about how the company operates, the better shape the company is in.
- As the company shifts into a new wave of growth opportunities, this individual will be tasked with ensuring they maintain structure & stability even as they adjust some of their processes.
- Communication skills will also be a major factor in the target candidate for this role; they will want this person eventually to maintain their external tax & audit relationships, sit in on meetings with customers, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance).
- CPA is preferred, but not required.
- 10-15 years of experience, including ideally some extensive time within the Manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills!
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
