What To Expect
- Tax Compliance & Oversight: Prepare and review supporting schedules and draft filings for federal, state, and local income, franchise, sales/use, and business license taxes. Assist in analyzing multistate tax exposure and applying state-specific tax rules. Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulations. Support quarterly and annual tax payments, filings, and correspondence with taxing authorities. Maintain internal documentation standards and contribute to tax incentive and compliance tracking efforts.
- Tax Strategy, Research & Planning: Assist with evaluating tax positions and identifying process improvement opportunities. Conduct research on federal and state tax issues, monitor legislative updates, and summarize findings for leadership review. Support initiatives to implement automation or procedural enhancements that streamline compliance and reporting.
- M&A Support & Integration: Assist with tax due diligence for acquisitions by compiling data, reviewing historical filings, and identifying potential risks or exposures. Collaborate with M&A and Finance teams to ensure timely integration and compliance for newly acquired entities. Maintain centralized tracking of tax filing requirements for new jurisdictions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal stakeholders and external CPAs to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related deliverables. Communicate technical information clearly and provide actionable insights to non-tax professionals.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of three years of tax experience required.
- Strong technical accounting and tax skills required.
- Solid understanding of multistate taxation and capital accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Education And Experience
- Master’s degree in accounting, Taxation, or MBA preferred.
- CPA license or active pursuit preferred.

The Total Rewards Expected For This Role Include
- Starting annual base salary between $79,000 - $94,500.
- Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)
