Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless service experience. This role involves coordinating between customers and our service technicians, providing accurate estimates, and promoting additional services to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue. Prior selling experience and automotive service management skills are highly valued for this position.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, listening carefully to their vehicle concerns.
- Write detailed service orders and accurately document customer requests using service writing systems.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, alignment, air brake systems, and auto body repair.
- Sell additional services based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to maximize customer value.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Manage estimating processes to generate accurate repair costs for customers.
- Handle transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to answer customer questions confidently.
Skills
- Proven auto service management background is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, suspension, tire services, shocks & struts, brakes, and alignments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Skilled in auto estimating and sales techniques with a focus on selling additional services effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up processes. Pay: $65, $95,000.00 per year
