CARS AND PIECES LLC is seeking an Auto Mechanic to join our onsite team in Connersville, IN and help keep customer vehicles running safely and reliably.
Position Summary
The Auto Mechanic role is responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, performing repairs, and completing maintenance work to the expected quality and safety standards. You will work hands-on with a variety of automotive systems to ensure vehicles are serviced correctly and returned to customers in dependable condition.
You’ll collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems efficiently, maintain accurate service documentation, and support a positive shop environment focused on workmanship and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues using standard testing and inspection methods.
Perform repairs and routine maintenance, including brakes, suspension, engine, and other vehicle systems.
Inspect vehicles before and after service to verify work quality and proper operation.
Maintain service records with accurate descriptions of findings, parts used, and work performed.
Follow safety procedures and shop standards to ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience working on light vehicles through maintenance and repair activities.
Working knowledge of basic automotive systems and common diagnostic approaches.
Ability to read service information and follow repair procedures accurately.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail when troubleshooting and completing repairs.
Willingness to work onsite full-time with a focus on safety, reliability, and timely completion.
Preferred Qualifications
