We're looking for a Senior Python Engineer to own and evolve the engine at the core of Carry: Money Movement. You'll help us build, scale, and refine the systems that move millions of dollars across banking, crypto, and retirement products.
This role is perfect for a product-minded engineer who loves solving real customer problems end-to-end—from brainstorming product ideas to launching polished features.

About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Python Engineer to own and evolve the engine at the core of Carry: Money Movement. You'll help us build, scale, and refine the systems that move millions of dollars across banking, crypto, and retirement products.
This role is perfect for a product-minded engineer who loves solving real customer problems end-to-end—from brainstorming product ideas to launching polished features.
What You'll Do
- Work in person with our engineering team in our Williamsburg office
- Design and build new investment products, including everything from real-time crypto trading to personalized financial plans
- Own features end-to-end—writing PRDs, creating TDDs, planning tests, and delivering to production
- Build new portfolio analytics and dashboards to help users understand and optimize their investments
- Automate key operations workflows so we can scale to thousands of customers
- Set the standard for code quality and mentor teammates as we grow
- 5 years of Python development experience in production environments
- Experience owning and maintaining live services, including monitoring, alerting, and deployment
- Strong experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Experience working in Fintech or with third-party API integrations
- Bonus: direct experience building money movement or payment systems
- Languages: Python, TypeScript
- Frontend: React, Next.js, Chakra UI
- Backend: Django, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Memcached
- Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, SQS, SNS, Lambda)
Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
