Float Position - Various Clinical Roles
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Travels to various outpatient behavioral clinics as instructed.
Performs various roles including Therapist, Utilization Review, and Clinic Manager.
Therapist role – provides individual psychotherapy and/or case management sessions on an as-needed basis, provides group psychotherapy and other psycho-educational groups on an as-needed basis, conducts family therapy sessions as needed, and conducts community education activities (individual and community) as directed.
Utilization Review role – responsible for coordinating and monitoring day-to-day operations of the utilization management program for the outpatient clinic, directs the activities necessary to ensure appropriate utilization of the clinic and its resources while maintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care, responsible for analyzing records to determine legitimacy of patient continued stay by performing concurrent reviews, and participates in treatment team meetings to report said legitimacy to physicians and team members.
Clinic Manager role – Ensures program complies with JCAHO, HCFA, state, and patient rights regulatory standards, coordinates, maintains, and evaluates the effectiveness of treatment planning, processes unusual occurrence reports, conducts investigations, and corrective plans as needed, coordinates performance improvement activities and is responsible for the effectiveness of the program quality management activities, monitors medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness of the treatment plan, evaluates the appropriateness of all medical/psychiatric emergency interventions performed in the program, and monitors and provides daily feedback as required related to core measures data collection (HBIPS).
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs Other Job Duties As Needed And/or As Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires Master’s degree in social work, counseling or psychology from an accredited college or university.
Two to five years of experience as a Social Worker in the mental health field is preferred.
Leadership Experience Strongly Preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Requires State LMSW, LPC, LPC-A, or LCSW license.
BLS certification is required upon hire.
De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
