Job Summary:

 

Carrot Medical is actively seeking Mechanical Installers with 6 months of hands-on experience in the installation or de-installation of MRI, CT, X-Ray, and/or Radiography Systems within healthcare environments.

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform Field Change Orders (FCOs), installations, de-installations, and related service tasks on cutting-edge X-Ray systems within the dynamic and growing healthcare sector. As experience is gained, the role will expand to include the installation and servicing of additional types of medical devices. Qualified individuals will also have the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities as part of their professional growth.

 

Above all -- the primary goal is to provide an outstanding customer service to business partners and end-users. The FSE will learn to work independently -- as well as in a team environment while under direct supervision. All Carrot Medical employees are expected to provide a positive Company image when servicing and discussing Carrot and 3rd party products, and solutions with the customer.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Ability to travel weekly to hospital sites to successfully unload, install, move and/or maintenance medical equipment
  • Complete all required jobsite (i.e. Daily Update Logs) and training paperwork in a coherent and timely manner
  • Properly maintain all assigned tools and company property
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Company policies
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure project success
  • Ability to work well on a small team (2 people); good delegation skills and responsive to received tasks

 

Job Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:

 

  • Read and interpret schematics, CAD drawings, and/or various other site drawings
  • Better than average tool knowledge (Impact Driver, Material Lift, Hammer Drill, Pulley Systems)
  • Strong cable management skills
  • Previous experience installing medical equipment (CT, X-Ray, MRI) a plus
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Working knowledge of computers (Word and Excel) and networking
  • Professional appearance and behavior and ability to communicate well with hospital staff

 

Physical Demands and General Work Environment:

 

  • May be required to be available 24 x 7 and required to rotate in an on-call status
  • Potential for travel to the customer site and/or training site at the last minute
  • Average daily driving is estimated to be 1 to 4 hours
  • Ability to lift or carry parts weighing a few ounces to over 100 lbs. (Assistance available when lifting items over 50 lbs.)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions using full body mobility
  • May be required to adhere to certification/credentialing required by the Hospital in order to gain admission
  • Customer requirements may include but are not limited to drug testing and/or immunizations to gain admission

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.

  

Assigned Territory:

 

  • This FSE position will be based in the Pacific Northwest Territory (WA, OR, ID) covering the United States.

  • Salary is $60,000 - $75,000 USD DOE
