Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, patient-focused Front Office Coordinator who is eager to cross-train and support the clinical team as needed. This role is front-office–based, with structured training provided to assist in clinical and surgical workflows when necessary to support patient flow and team efficiency.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative coordination and patient interaction, while also valuing exposure to advanced periodontal and implant care.
Primary Responsibilities – Front Office (Core Role)
Greet and assist patients with professionalism, warmth, and discretion
Schedule and coordinate periodontal, prosthodontic, implant, and TMJ procedures
Manage patient check-in/check-out and daily schedule flow
Present treatment plans and coordinate financial discussions
Verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and process claims
Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and correspondence
Answer phones and manage patient inquiries with clarity and compassion
Coordinate closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless care transitions
Secondary Responsibilities – Clinical & Surgical Support (Cross-Trained)
(Performed as trained and as office flow requires)
Clinical & Surgical Assisting
Assist chairside during periodontal, implant, and prosthodontic procedures, including:
Scaling and root planing support
Laser therapy
Soft tissue grafting
Extractions and implant placement
Ridge augmentation and sinus lift procedures
PRF / biologics preparation
Anticipate doctor needs during routine and complex procedures
Maintain sterile technique and organized surgical trays
Provide post-operative instructions and basic patient education
Imaging & Diagnostic Support
Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans
Assist with TMJ imaging protocols and occlusal workflow steps
Support clinical documentation, photography, and charting
Clinical Operations
Prepare and reset operatories efficiently
Assist with instrument sterilization and OSHA compliance
Monitor clinical supply levels and support inventory coordination
Help maintain smooth communication between front office, hygiene, and surgical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dental front office, dental assisting, or specialty dentistry preferred
Dental assisting experience required; surgical or periodontal experience strongly preferred
Current radiology certification
Familiarity with implants, sutures, CBCT imaging, or surgical workflows is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Positive, dependable attitude with a willingness to learn
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced specialty environment
