Join Our Team at Carroll Lutheran Village! We’re currently seeking a dedicated as needed (PRN) Prep Cook to become part of our caring and mission-driven community. This position is as needed and has varying weekdays and weekend shifts. As a Prep Cook you will work in our community dining venues. This position is a vital part of our strong culinary team to provide the best service to our residents.

What You'll Do as a CLV Prep Cook:
- Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving menu items
- Taste products, read menus, and estimate food requirements
- Maintain food production, keep records to ensure accurate plan production requirement, requisition supplies, and equipment
- May be assigned to work in a venue which will require preparation and cooking food to order, including the ability to read the order and or prepare and cook food according to instructions

Qualifications
What You'll Need as a CLV Prep Cook:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- 2 or more years of cooking experience
- Knowledge of sanitation, safety and food handling techniques, rules and regulations as defined by local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Apply moderately complex technical skills appropriate for the position.
- May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet requirements of the position.
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Serv-Safe Certification (if expired, recertification within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
