Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms.Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.Assist with procedures such as medication administration, injections, and basic wound care.Support physicians with diagnostic tests including basic laboratory tasks (blood draw, A1C, urine dip etc.)Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Prepare examination rooms and assist during visits.Clean examination rooms and make sure they are always stocked.Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently in all clinical areas.Answer patient phones calls, portal messages and phone messages in a professional and timely manner.Ensure that prescription refills are sent - If prior authorization is required, you are responsible for providing the needed information in order to help the patient obtain the necessary medication.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environmentSupport coworkers with additional tasks as needed to keep the office running smoothly Company DescriptionCarroll Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare family!
