Position Summary
Carroll Daniel Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design efforts for industrial manufacturing capital projects. Based in Greenville, SC, this key role requires a thorough knowledge base of industrial steel & concrete design, including equipment foundations, platforms, pipe racks, material handling systems, rotating equipment, large utilities, and related items. This position will also develop man-hour estimates and work with our preconstruction team to provide material estimates for capital projects.This engineering role will work within a multidiscipline design team to develop complete structural design documents, answer RFI’s, coordinate submittal reviews, and edit specifications.

Position Responsibilities
- Produce complete construction documents (drawings specifications) for capital projects.
- Design varying structural systems for a wide range of building typologies with a focus on Industrial facilities.
- Reverse-Engineering capabilities to assist with building and selective demolition.
- Knowledgeable of up-to-date construction methodologies and applicable building codes.
- Mentor and supervise upcoming young professionals pursuing EIT/PE/SE within the company.

- Requires Bachelor of Science or above in Civil Engineering
- Experience: 5 years relevant structural engineering design experience
- Skills & Knowledge: Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, RAM, RISA 3D, preparation of specifications, submittal / shop drawing review, field observations / inspections
- License: PE or SE in South Carolina, with capability of reciprocity to other states
