What You Will Do
As an Electrician, you will perform intermediate maintenance and repairs to electrical systems in accordance with all applicable industry standards, laws and regulations. Under the direction of a lead electrician or Facilities Supervisor, you will apply your electrical knowledge and skills to provide services to all County buildings. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with a intermediate level of electrical knowledge.

What You Will Do
As an Electrician, you will perform intermediate maintenance and repairs to electrical systems in accordance with all applicable industry standards, laws and regulations. Under the direction of a lead electrician or Facilities Supervisor, you will apply your electrical knowledge and skills to provide services to all County buildings. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with a intermediate level of electrical knowledge.
Essential Duties
- Perform intermediate maintenance services related to electrical systems. Test, troubleshoot, make intermediate repairs and perform preventative maintenance, as needed.
- Assist other Electricians with projects and repairs. Perform other trades duties, as needed.
- Perform visual and operational inspections, tests, and intermediate-level troubleshooting. Operate diagnostic testing equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems. Perform intermediate electrical repairs and installations.
- Collect and record data using a Computerized Maintenance Management System, including logging daily work and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.
- Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Three or more years of related experience
- A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
- Valid driver's license
- Requires criminal background check as condition of employment.
- May be required to work outside of standard hours.
- Frequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles.
- Occasional exposure to potentially adverse weather conditions.
- Frequent physical activity: lifting and carrying over 50lbs, climbing ladders and steps, standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, stooping, and related activities.
- Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
