Environmental Health Specialist – Full Time

This isn’t your average desk job—you’ll be out in the community, inspecting, educating, and problem-solving to help keep food, water, and environments safe for everyone. You’ll be trained in programs such as Food, Point of Sale, Water, Septic, Pools, Camps, Body Art, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Get out in the field to conduct inspections and document your findings
- Educate and connect with the public and local businesses
- Take charge of sewage and water systems, nuisance complaints, and vector control
- Step up in emergency preparedness and response efforts
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Public Health, or related field
- Eligibility for Ohio REHS registration
- A valid Ohio driver’s license
