Description: Carroll College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish to join the Languages & Literature Department. We are building a pool of qualified adjunct instructors to support current and future instructional needs in Spanish language courses. In person on-campus instruction preferred, online, synchronous instruction via Zoom is acceptable. At present, we are specifically seeking an instructor to teach one section of Beginning Spanish during the Fall 2026 semester.Position ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will teach within an established Spanish language curriculum using a provided syllabus, textbook, and course materials. - Teaching one section of Beginning Spanish
- Delivering engaging, student-centered instruction in Spanish language acquisition
- Following the established course syllabus, learning outcomes, and assessment structure
- Utilizing instructional technologies, including Moodle and McGraw-Hill Connect
- Communicating regularly with the department chair and students
- Maintaining timely grading and course records
- Holding regularly scheduled office hours for 3 hours a week Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Spanish, Spanish Language and Literature, Foreign Language Pedagogy, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish
- Experience teaching Spanish language courses at the secondary or postsecondary level preferred
- Familiarity with learning management systems and online instructional tools, particularly Moodle and McGraw-Hill Connect
- A demonstrated commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching
