Carroll GMC is expanding and we are looking for skilled Main Shop Technicians to join our team. As we continue to grow across, we need experienced, motivated, and dependable technicians who are ready to take their careers to the next level.
What You’ll Do
- Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GM vehicles
- Complete warranty and customer-pay work with efficiency and quality
- Use Dealertrack/GM diagnostic systems and follow GM repair procedures
- Work closely with Service Advisors and fellow Technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace in compliance with dealership and OSHA standards
- Document all work performed and flag hours accurately
- Road-test vehicles to verify repairs
- Stay up to date with GM technical bulletins and required training
- Assist the shop foreman/team with advanced diagnostics as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Main Shop/Line Technician (GM experience highly preferred)
- Strong diagnostics skills (electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic
- Must have own tools (dealership provides specialty GM tools)
- ASE Certifications a plus (not required)
