Assembler II - Tube Material Handler 1st Shift

The Tube Material Handler is responsible for supporting the Assembly department by ensuring a consistent and efficient supply of materials, including flanges, screws, and tubes, to Assemblers. This role maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas while proactively managing inventory and assisting with material handling tasks to prevent workflow interruptions and support overall production efficiency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee may be required to perform, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Supply Assemblers with required materials, including flanges, screws, and tubes, ensuring materials remain readily available at all times
  • Coordinate with Assemblers to prevent production delays due to material shortages
  • Remove empty pallets and excess materials from the work area in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
  • Assist in the removal and proper handling of scrap or unused materials
  • Wrap completed pallets and perform accurate counts of materials and finished goods
  • Support general production flow and assist in additional tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Move pallets within the assigned work area using approved manual handling methods, including pushing or pulling when necessary.
  • All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, push, and pull for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull materials as required

Safety Requirements

The employee is required to follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, including but not limited to:

  • Safety glasses (face shield as required)
  • Hearing protection
  • High-visibility clothing
  • Gloves (not required during cutting)
  • Safety toe footwear
  • Required to participate in daily stretching exercises as part of the company’s safety and wellness program.

Failure to comply with safety standards may result in disciplinary action.

  • Work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned work areas
  • Immediately report safety concerns, incidents, or operational issues to the Shift Supervisor
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and supervisory instructions
