We’re looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our Lifestyle Options - Schonsee team on a full-time basis. In this role, you’ll support the Recreation Therapist in delivering and implementing the recreation and leisure programs for our residents.

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our Lifestyle Options - Schonsee team on a full-time basis. In this role, you’ll support the Recreation Therapist in delivering and implementing the recreation and leisure programs for our residents.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and assist with recreation programs, outings, and special events tailored to resident needs.
- Prepare materials, manage seasonal decorations, and support financial tracking for activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure program materials are in good condition.
- Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy team and other staff members.
- Complete administrative tasks like daily stats and attend staff training sessions.
- Experience coordinating activities for seniors, including those with dementia.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with residents and families.
- Physically capable of performing job duties and operating related equipment.
- Organized, able to multitask, and work well in diverse environments.
