MARKETING DIRECTOR – JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Overview

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts, drive brand growth, and develop creative strategies that resonate with our target audience. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand, managing integrated marketing strategies, and ensuring alignment between brand messaging and business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creativity, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. You should be comfortable working in a fast past entrepreneurial environment as well as working cross-functionally to execute these strategies and ensure brand development and brand centric messaging.  We are looking for someone with 3-4 years of experience in the Food & Beverage CPG industry.


This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three (3) days per week at our Closter, NJ office.

Candidates must have a car to commute to the office as required.

What you will be doing:

1.Brand Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement long-term, innovative brand strategies to enhance brand equity and market presence.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform brand positioning and messaging.
  • Oversee brand development, ensuring consistency and alignment across all platforms and channels.

2.Creative Leadership:

  • Lead the creative direction for all marketing campaigns, including digital, print, email, trade shows, and social media.
  • Manage social agency on all functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, sales, etc.) to develop impactful marketing collateral and materials.
  • Encourage and foster a culture of creative thinking, while pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas.


3.Integrated Marketing Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Work with our agency to design and implement multi-channel marketing strategies across paid, earned, and owned media to maximize brand visibility and customer loyalty.
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing initiatives based on data analytics and key performance metrics.
  • Develop the marketing and launch strategy for new products.
  • Update verbiage on website and monitor web sales for trends; analyze web sales reports.


4.Innovation & Market Trends:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital marketing innovations.
  • Introduce cutting-edge marketing techniques and new tools to engage with our audience in unique and effective ways.
  • Drive continuous improvements and adapt strategies based on market shifts and customer feedback.


5.Budget and ROI Management:

  • Oversee marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI on campaigns.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting strategies to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee couponing strategy.


6. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present marketing strategies, initiatives, and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all brand-related marketing inquiries and decisions.


What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication or marketing.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience, preferably with food or similar CPG brands. Natural/Organic food a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success in brand building, strategic marketing planning, and execution.
  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating innovative ideas and successful marketing campaigns.
  • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices.
  • Analytical and creative bold thinker.
  • Self- starter with great problem solving skills and innate ability to multitask.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
