Job Overview
Carrillo Elementary School is seeking a passionate and highly effective English Language Development Interventionist (ELDI) to support the academic and linguistic growth of our Emergent Bilingual students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of language acquisition, sheltered instruction, and data-driven intervention practices.
The ELDI will collaborate with teachers, instructional leaders, and support staff to ensure that Emergent Bilingual students receive targeted support that accelerates language development and academic achievement.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted language development interventions for Emergent Bilingual students.
- Support students in developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement effective language acquisition strategies.
- Analyze student data, including TELPAS and classroom assessments, to identify student needs and monitor progress.
- Assist with planning and implementing interventions aligned to grade-level curriculum and language proficiency goals.
- Support teachers in the implementation of ESL instructional strategies and best practices.
- Participate in data meetings, PLCs, and campus professional development.
- Maintain documentation and progress-monitoring records for assigned students.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff to support student success.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required.
- ESL Certification required.
- Experience working with Emergent Bilingual students preferred.
- Knowledge of second-language acquisition and effective intervention practices.
- Experience analyzing student achievement data and developing targeted intervention plans.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
