What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Carriger Farms?
Worker will operate farm equipment such as tractors, combines and sprayers. The worker will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and cleaning farm equipment. They will perform day to day manual labor tasks including but not limited to feeding a small herd of cows, patching fences and cleaning barns and farm buildings. Worker will also perform other duties necessary to plant, grow, and harvest corn and perform grounds maintenance. Workers should be able to lift 50lbs. Worker will need to have a drivers license and be able to operate vehicles to drive to worksites and stores and should be able to obtain a Texas drivers license within 30 days. Drug screen will be performed upon accident or incidence and will be at the employers expense. Workers have the potential to work 65-70 hours during peak planting and harvest seasons and need to have 0 months of experience operating 600 HP tractors that may have GPS.
