Mill Operator for our wood chipping facility.
**Overview:**
Carrier Chipping is seeking a dependable Mill Operator to help operate our wood chipping facility in Skowhegan, Maine. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a team focused on safety and quality.
**Duties:**
- Operate and monitor milling machines to produce high-quality products
- Operate cranes, front-end loaders and trucks as production requires
- Use tools, as needed, to perform maintenance, repairs and cleaning
- Conduct regular maintenance on mill machines, conveyors and mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance
**Skills:**
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Familiarity with basic use of tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment efficiently and accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- A background in mill operations is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
