Our Crematory Operators are responsible for providing cremation services and managing the overall process to ensure expectations of client families are exceeded.
Compensation: $15 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Pet Memories Cremation Service located in Rockwall, Texas
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; stand; sit; walk; and drive all vehicles. In addition, the employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; push and pull; bend and carry; twist and turn. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Location: Pet Memories Cremation Service located in Rockwall, Texas
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior experience in crematory, funeral, or animal care strongly preferred.
- Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record because a company-owned vehicle will be used
- Verify identification, documentation, and authorization prior to cremation.
- Perform cremations according to established procedures, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Process and package cremated remains for return to clients and veterinary partners.
- Maintain crematory equipment, vehicles, and facilities in clean, safe, and operational condition.
- Ensure all records are accurate and compliant with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with transportation of pets from veterinary clinics and client homes to the crematory.
- Deliver cremated remains and memorial products to veterinary clinics and customers as assigned.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with grieving pet owners and veterinary staff.
- Support continuous improvement of Pet Memories operations and customer experience.

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold, dampness (rain/snow), humidity, and extreme temperatures (heat and cold). Work may be very stressful depending upon the requirements of work schedules and customers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The hours for this position will vary depending on the needs of the business but will include 40 hours each week. Some overtime will be required. Some weekend work will be required, too.
