Human Resources Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Carriage House Nursing and Rehab in Bay City, MI. As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions, including payroll processing, accounts payable, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities:
Bi-weekly payroll processing, including ensuring accurate pay rates and timely merit increases
Present benefit plans to employees, explain changes, and facilitate enrollment/de-enrollment processes
Order and distribute benefit/personnel supplies, including employee handbooks and enrollment forms
Coordinate the I-9 process, including verifying new hire employment eligibility and ensuring compliance with INS regulations
Post state and federal posters required by law in appropriate locations
Assist employees with leave requests and ensure proper documentation is submitted
Monitor employees on leave, track benefit payments, and produce weekly reports
Ensure accurate employee information in HRIS, including social security number, job title, and FLSA status
Serve as Affirmative Action compiler for the facility
Set up and maintain payroll records/files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policy and regulations
Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and all levels of the organization
Skilled in the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail-oriented
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Additional Information:
Reports to the Administrator
Performs other tasks as assigned
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
