Senior Tax Manager
We need a Senior Manager who wants to take meaningful ownership of an established and growing book of business. We are looking for an experienced professional who can work alongside our partners to lead relationships, oversee the work being performed for them, and make sure we’re delivering the level of service and technical quality our clients expect.
The Senior Manager will serve as a primary contact for significant client relationships, take ownership of engagements from planning through completion, oversee technical output across both tax compliance and consulting, and develop the professionals working on those engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Client Management: Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for an established portfolio of significant client relationships, providing consulting on complex, multi-faceted tax scenarios.
- Technical & Advisory Leadership: Lead complex tax engagements and consulting projects, including matters involving closely held businesses, pass-through entities, and high-net worth individuals. Research and resolve complex tax issues and translate technical conclusions into practical recommendations clients can understand and act on.
- Quality & Risk Management: Perform final technical review of complex consulting deliverables, ensuring strict adherence to tax laws and firm quality standards.
- Practice Operations: Manage resource allocation, engagement economics, project pipelines, and competing deadlines. Work with partners and other firm leaders to improve workflow, processes, quality control and team efficiency
- Leadership & Culture: Mentor managers and senior staff, drive recruitment efforts, and foster a collaborative, high-performance consulting culture.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8 or more years of specialized public accounting or tax advisory experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving client revenue.
- Credentials: Active CPA.
- Skills: Demonstrated technical expertise, client leadership, team leadership, communication and strong professional judgment.

For our Tax Manager position, we are looking for someone to manage engagements from planning through completion, serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, review the work of other professionals, identify tax planning opportunities and technical issues, and make sure work continues moving without someone having to continually push it forward. High-level ability and engagement also create opportunities to participate in business growth and practice management.
Responsibilities include:
- Engagement Leadership: Manage an assigned portfolio of engagements and serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients. Build relationships that go beyond collecting information and delivering tax returns by developing an understanding of each client’s business, family, financial circumstances and objectives.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct deep technical research on complex tax issues and model tax scenarios for clients.
- Client Advisory: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, translating complex tax regulations into clear, actionable business insights.
