Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy.
- Operate a variety of groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, excavators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety.
- Install and repair hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to enhance landscape aesthetics.
- Manage irrigation systems by installing new setups, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient watering practices for all plantings.
- Conduct plant identification to select appropriate flora for specific environments while applying pesticide management techniques responsibly.
- Execute tree care including trimming, pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and growth.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications
- Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping.
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment operation.
- Familiarity with horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management techniques.
- Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely when needed for large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments.
- Excellent physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
