Are you a hands-on leader who enjoys working with equipment, helping customers and driving sales?
Carr Hardware is looking for an enthusiastic Rental Lead to lead the day-to-day operations of our rental department. You'll be responsible for growing rental sales, maintaining equipment readiness, delivering excellent customer service and developing a motivated team.
What You'll Do
- Drive rental sales and maximize equipment utilization.
- Manage reservations, rental contracts, deliveries and returns.
- Ensure equipment is clean, safe, maintained and rental-ready.
- Build strong customer relationships and promote a "Yes" culture.
- Lead, train and coach rental associates.
- Maintain accurate inventory, documentation and safety standards.
- Monitor rental performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with the Store Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in equipment rental, hardware, construction or a related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment.
- Leadership experience with excellent customer service skills.
- Organised, dependable and comfortable solving problems independently.
- Computer literacy and willingness to learn rental systems.
- Flexible availability, including weekends.
- Valid driver's licence for assigned delivery responsibilities.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Experience:
- supervisory or team leadership: 2 years (Preferred)
- managing reservations, rental contracts and inventory: 2 years (Preferred)
- operating, construction/landscaping equipment?: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
