Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their automotive parts needs through active listening and product knowledge.
- Assist customers in locating parts using inventory management systems, POS (Point of Sale) terminals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
- Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and automotive diagnostics to help customers make informed decisions.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing payments via POS systems.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers via phone etiquette, ensuring clear information about product availability and order status.
- Some delivery of parts to customers may be required
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service procedures.
- Exceptional negotiation skills to upsell products and close sales confidently.
- Proficiency in inventory management software such as CMMS or similar systems.
- Experience with automotive repair shops or dealership environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills paired with phone etiquette for engaging customer interactions.
- Solid organizational skills to manage stock levels, order fulfillment, and record keeping efficiently.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and transaction processing.
