Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs with precision.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and GM vehicles, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending necessary services to enhance vehicle longevity.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical systems.
- Experience working with ADAS technology and vehicle systems integration.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrains, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and diesel engines.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and auto estimating software.
- Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Valid technician certification or relevant mechanic experience; dealership experience is highly preferred.
