Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced distribution team. Responsibilities
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and manual methods to accurately fulfill customer orders.
- Operate various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery to move materials safely within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper manual handling techniques and adherence to safety protocols in line with OSHA standards.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks efficiently and accurately documenting all transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following warehouse procedures for materials handling and storage.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, improve safety practices, and meet productivity goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related fields with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar machinery; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and basic math skills for counting and measurements.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or mechanical aids.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA regulations, manual handling techniques, and construction site safety practices if applicable.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, shipping & receiving tasks, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
