What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collection Specialist position at Carpet Tech?
GENERAL:
Reporting to the Accounting Director, the Accounts Receivable/Collections Assistant is responsible for assisting with the management and invoicing of all collection/restoration accounts, ensuring accounts are handled properly to maintain a healthy bad debt ratio, courteously communicating and negotiating payment arrangements with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the work load.
- Send account statements monthly as well as reminder letters to all past due accounts
- Complete daily invoicing for restoration services.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers
- Monitor all payment arrangements to ensure they are being followed.
- Handle customer disputes/refunds/discounts on already billed invoices
- Assist both Accounting and Restoration Directors in daily tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and analyze data to ensure deadlines are met.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
- Must be goal driven, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
- Must possess excellent customer service
This position is Part time M-F
