Accounts Payable Clerk

Carpet Tech is hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk.

Job Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management: Handling incoming invoices for the company and affiliated entities.
• A/P Invoice Processing: Timely and accurate processing of A/P invoices, ensuring adherence of company policies.
• Invoice Verification: Verifying accuracy of vendor invoices, confirming correct G/L account codes, and obtaining proper approvals.
• Filing Systems: Accurately maintaining account and vendor filing systems.
• Payment Processing: Generating payments to vendors, verifying accuracy, and submitting for review.
• Issue Resolution: Responding to inquiries, checking transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
• Vendor Account Reconciliation: Verifying vendor accounts through monthly statements reconciliation.
• Reporting: Reviewing monthly AP aging reports.
• Year-End Preparation: Assisting in year-end 1099 preparation.
• Other Duties: Handling any other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Learning and Software: Willingness to learn new tasks and software systems.
• Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Trustworthiness: Exceptional trustworthiness and attention to detail.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas.
• Experience: 3-5 years of AP experience, QuickBooks proficiency, and understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Education: Associate degree in accounting or equivalent preferred.

Pay:

• Starting at $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
