Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Determine overall flooring & design needs while offering a great customer experience
- Build genuine relationships with new & existing customers
- Schedule appointments for client design consultations
- Keep up to date on the selection of products & services provided
- Measure spaces, estimate materials, provide suggestions, present proposals, manage payments, schedule installers & oversee project quality
- Keep the install team on track by sharing clear notes & photos
- Connect with vendors to clarify product details & stock status
- Engage in networking events & help generate new business leads
- Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend.
What We're Looking For:
- 2 years' proven work experience in Retail Sales, Furniture Sales, Interior Design, Hospitality or similar role
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
- Ability to pass a background check & drug test (REQUIRED)
- Fundamental tech, social media & math skills
- Positive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business
- Quick to help customers get what they need
- Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
- Personal & professional judgment
- Organizational skills & the flexibility to rapidly pivot from priority to priority
- Time management skills & detailed oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
- Reading floor plan drawings & creating estimates a plus, but not required (Training provided)
- Knowledge of RFMS a plus, but not required (Training provided)
- Flooring or design experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
