Position Title: SPECIALIST I – EHS PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SPECIALIST I – EHS Works with direction in providing input to departmental resources on EH&S related matters. Provides support in implementation of measures to help protect employees from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. Investigate accidents to identify root causes and report results to management. Inspects and evaluates workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Supports engineers/management in the institution of control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment. Participate in multi-discipline problem solving teams. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE SPECIALIST I – EHS Two-year college degree in related safety science field, engineering or manufacturing. 0-2 years of safety or manufacturing experience. Ability to communicate with all levels of the Organization. Ability to operate a computer workstation and the appropriate software/hardware, and to work in a production-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Willing to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
